Hassle-free Tours is committed to delivering on the 100% Pure New Zealand promise. We feel very privileged to live in such a beautiful country and to take our guests into the pristine areas we operate in.
Hassle-free Tours operates in the breathtaking Southern Alps of New Zealand which has some of the world’s most spectacular scenery and to do our part to preserve the areas for generations to come we have taken a number of steps to minimise our environmental impact.
In October 2007 Hassle-free Tours was the first tour company in New Zealand to convert its entire fleet to biodiesel from Biodiesel NZ. The biodiesel is made from recycled cooking oil from hotels and restaurants throughout New Zealand and is roughly halving our CO2 emissions, click here to watch a news clip regarding our conversion.
Hassle-free Tours have a waste management and recycling programme in place.
We minimise our impact on the land by only operating on formed vehicle tracks, we have custom built trucks specially designed for our tours which enable us to carry more passengers in one vehicle therefore reducing the number of vehicles required to operate the business which has dramatically decreased our diesel consumption.
2008/2009 Objectives
Hassle-free Tours is currently working on a sponsorship programme for an endangered native bird.
Hassle-free Tours has set a target of reaching the new Qualmark Environmental Green standard – gold.
These are just some of things that Hassle-free Tours is doing to minimise our impact on the environment and we are constantly reviewing and looking at ways to improve.
